Skydance Paramount Plans to Eliminate Nearly 2,000 United States Roles – Report

Skydance Paramount plans to start mass layoffs the week of 27 October, removing about 2,000 positions in the United States within a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.

The layoffs are a result of the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August valued at $8.4bn.

Further international job cuts are likely, with the company intending to reveal complete information via its third quarter earnings report set for the 10th of November.

Prior news stated the company planned to reduce between 2,000 to 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.

By December 2024, Paramount retained about 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 temporary project employees.

The organization did not immediately respond regarding the report.
